    How do I factory reset my Nike+ device?

    If you experience unexpected behavior from your Nike+ device we recommend you perform a factory reset. Resetting your device will erase any saved settings and unsynced data and will restore your device to factory settings. Select your device below and follow the steps to perform a factory reset.

    Note: Performing a factory reset will clear any unsynced data from your device. Make sure to sync your Nike+ activity data before restoring your device to factory settings.

    Nike+ FuelBand and FuelBand SE
    1. Plug your FuelBand into your computer's USB port and wait for the Nike+ Connect software to launch.
    2. This should sync any data on your FuelBand to Nike+.
      • Note: When you perform a factory reset, any unsynced data will be cleared from your device, and all device settings will be reset to factory settings. All previously synced activity will remain in your Nikeplus.com account.
    3. Click the "Settings" button to expand Nike+ Connect.
    4. In the lower left corner of Nike+ Connect, click "Factory Reset".
    5. Click "Reset" to confirm.
    6. Nikeplus.com will automatically launch in your default browser.
    7. Sign in to your Nike+ account to sync your FuelBand data to your account.
    Nike+ SportWatch GPS
    1. Connect your SportWatch GPS to your computer to launch Nike+ Connect.
    2. Click the Settings button in Nike+ Connect to expand the window.
    3. Select Factory Reset (near bottom left of the Nike+ Connect window).

    4. Click Reset in the confirmation message box to begin the factory reset.

    Note: All settings and unsynced activity will be cleared by restoring the SportWatch GPS to factory settings. Activity previously uploaded will remain on Nike+. You can also restart your SportWatch instead of resetting to factory settings.

    Nike+ SportBand
    1. Connect your SportBand to your computer to launch Nike+ Connect.
    2. Click the Settings button in Nike+ Connect to expand the window.
    3. Select Factory Reset (near bottom left of the Nike+ Connect window).
    4. Click Reset in the confirmation message box to begin the factory reset.

    Alternate Factory Reset

    In some cases, you may need to factory reset your Nike+ device but are unable to access the factory reset option in Nike+ Connect.

    The following instructions provide an alternative way to reset a Nike+ device to factory settings. Please choose your operating system from the below options for the factory reset instructions.

    Windows 8

    1. Unplug the Nike+ device from your USB port.
    2. Press your computer's Home key (the key with the Windows icon).
    3. Scroll to the right until you see your applications icons, including Nike+ Connect.
    4. Click the Nike+ Connect icon to launch the application. The Nike+ Connect applet should now appear on your screen.
    5. In the lower right corner of your computer screen, click the Up arrow.
    6. You should now see a box containing several icons, including the Nike+ Connect icon. Right-click the Nike+ Connect icon.
    7. Select Restore. Wait for Nike+ Connect to display a confirmation message box that the next Nike+ device connected will be factory restored.
    8. Plug in the Nike+ device you wish to restore and click Restore.

    After the factory reset, your device can be unplugged and used. If Nike+ Connect does not automatically close when you unplug your device, please close it manually.

    Windows 7 and older

    1. Unplug the Nike+ device from your USB port.
    2. Click the Start button on your computer's taskbar. Click All Programs and select Nike+ Connect.
    3. Nike+ Connect will open and place an icon in your Windows notification area, which is located in the bottom right corner, near the clock.
    4. Right-click with your mouse on the Nike+ Connect icon in the Windows notification area and select "Restore".

    5. You should receive a confirmation message box.

    6. Connect your device to your USB port.
    7. The confirmation message box should update to reflect your device type, and you should now be able to click the Restore button.
    8. If you're using a FuelBand, SportWatch or SportBand, your device will go through a factory reset.
    9. If you're using the Nike+ Basketball or Nike+ Training Sport Sensors, your device will go through both a firmware update and a factory reset.

    Mac OS

    1. Unplug the device from your USB port.
    2. Manually open Nike+ Connect from your computer's applications folder.
    3. In the Nike+ Connect application menu (upper left), open the drop-down menu.
    4. Select "Restore".
    5. You should now see the "Restore Device" message box.
    6. Connect your device to your USB port.
    7. The text of the message box should update to reflect your device type. You should now be able to click the "Restore" button.
    8. If you're using a Nike+ FuelBand SE, first generation FuelBand, SportWatch or SportBand, your device will go through a factory reset.
    9. If you're using the Nike+ Sport Sensors included with Nike+ Basketball or Nike+ Training shoes, your device will go through both a firmware update and a factory reset.
    10. After the factory reset, your device can be unplugged and used. If Nike+ Connect does not automatically close when you unplug your device, please close it manually.
